Legal Disclosures

Last updated: July 8, 2026. These disclosures govern your use of the Teresa QC website and application.

1. What Teresa QC Is

Teresa QC is software produced by Teresa QC LLC, a Florida software company. It computes line-by-line variances between a workpaper and a reference benchmark, and it provides worked synthetic example workpapers for learning and evaluation. Teresa QC is a computational and educational tool. It produces figures, variances, and scored comparisons — not conclusions.

2. What Teresa QC Is Not

Teresa QC does not perform audits, attestation engagements, reviews, examinations, or compilations, and does not examine, evaluate, or report on the financial statements or records of any real person or entity. Teresa QC expresses no opinion and no attest conclusion of any kind, and does not judge the materiality, significance, adequacy, or compliance of any workpaper. References to GASB or GAGAS describe the reference format of the benchmark the user selects; they are not a representation that any output conforms to, or satisfies, those standards. Teresa QC's output is not a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed auditor and must not be relied upon as such.

3. Not a CPA Firm; No Licensed CPAs

Teresa QC LLC is a software company. It is not a Florida certified public accounting firm under Fla. Stat. § 473.3101, and it does not hold itself out as one. Teresa QC LLC does not employ or engage licensed certified public accountants to provide services through this software, and nothing on this site or in the application is the practice of public accountancy. Teresa is a machine, not a CPA.

4. The Licensed Professional Owns Every Judgment

Teresa QC is a tool for licensed auditors and other qualified professionals. Where the software is used in connection with any real engagement, the licensed professional remains the sole professional of record and is solely responsible for every procedure, figure, finding, and conclusion. Teresa informs; it never replaces professional judgment. Any variance, score, or referred item the software produces is a factual computation for the licensed professional to review, correct, accept, or reject.

5. Eligibility and Account Creation

Access to the application is limited to authorized, signed-in users. When self-serve profiles launch, creating an account will require a verified Google account and your confirmation that you maintain a payment method on file with Google or Amazon. This is an eligibility and identity signal and does not by itself result in a charge. It is not a verification of your professional license, credentials, or firm status, and Teresa QC does not perform that verification. Teresa QC is intended for use by licensed auditors as a tool; the licensed user remains the sole professional of record and is responsible for confirming their own eligibility to use it in their work. By creating an account you agree to these disclosures and to our Privacy Policy, which describes exactly what account information we collect and why.

6. Synthetic Data Only — Terms of Use

Teresa QC provides pre-made, fully synthetic example artifacts (fictional entities and fabricated records). You may alter these synthetic artifacts and run them through the software.

You may not upload, submit, or process real client records, real financial statements or books of any real entity, personally identifiable information, or any confidential or non-public information of any person or organization. Teresa QC is designed and licensed for synthetic practice data only. It does not need, want, or accept your real records.

Teresa QC LLC does not verify the provenance of any file you provide and cannot determine whether data you submit is real or synthetic. You are solely responsible for ensuring that anything you place into the software is synthetic and lawful for you to use. Submitting real or confidential data is a violation of these terms, is undertaken entirely at your own risk, and may expose you — not Teresa QC LLC — to legal and professional consequences.

7. No Guarantee; No Reliance

Teresa QC is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Teresa QC LLC does not warrant that the software's figures, benchmarks, or comparisons are accurate, complete, current, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and makes no promise as to any outcome. The software's output is a computational reference only and may not be relied upon as a professional opinion, a determination of compliance, or a substitute for independent verification by a qualified licensed professional.

8. Educational Materials

Teresa QC's worked examples and explanatory materials are provided for general educational purposes only, using synthetic data. They are not professional, legal, accounting, or audit advice, and they are not offered as continuing professional education (CPE) credit unless and where expressly stated in a separately governed offering.

9. Intellectual Property

All example artifacts, benchmark workpapers, datasets, answer keys, scoring logic, text, and design on this site and in the application are the property of Teresa QC LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. All example data is 100% synthetic and fabricated by Teresa QC LLC; any resemblance to a real entity, engagement, or person is coincidental. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or create derivative products from these materials except as expressly permitted in writing.
